- Abstract:
- Following years of standards development and trials, Voice over IP (VOIP) is now an integral part of commercial voice systems. These include enterprise PBXs, carrier interconnect and distributed consumer services, such as SKYPE. This talk will outline the protocol developments which underpin VOIP, and will review the current VOIP market place. The seminar will conclude with a review of current VOIP research issues.
