- Abstract:
- Interactive Digital television (iDTV) combines a broadband data
channel with a flexible programmable terminal. In this seminar,
I will present an overview of the interactive digital television
platform which has been adopted in Australia - ETSI's Multimedia
Home Platform (MHP). The seminar will begin with a review of the
history of interactive television systems, followed by a
discussion of the structure and operation of MHP and an MHP
application, concluding with some proposals for research projects
in the area of iDTV.
