Abstract:

We introduce the problem of authenticating users, hosts, messages and digital objects in cyber world and review a range of mechanisms that can be used to ensure authenticity. This includes authentication protocols, and primitives such as message authentiation codes, digital signatures, and digital watermarks. We will also briefly look at some of our current research projects in these areas.
