Abstract:

This seminar presents a simple yet elegant algorithm for allocating bits to subchannels in a discrete multi-tone modulation modem. I will start by giving a brief overview of how DMT modulation works (a quick re-hash of my previous seminar) and then introduce the new algorithm and demonstrate it running at various data rates. I will also use the opportunity to showcase LaTeX as a presentation system.
