University of Wollongong’s ICT Research Institute (formerly Telecommunication and Information Technology Research Institute - TITR) is one of the longest running and largest university-based research institutes in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Australia and is a flagship research strength within the University. The Institute has been instrumental in establishing the University’s international reputation in ICT research and is recognized as a Centre of Excellence in Telecommunications by the New South Wales State Government. ICT Research Institute is comprised of four major research centres, which collectively represent some 60 academic research staff and over 95 post-graduate students, mostly at PhD level.
